Tis' The Season To Be Jolly

It's that time of year again where everyone is thinking about what presents they will be buying for there loved ones, what dishes they will be preparing for the family's Christmas lunches and dinners and most importantly what we'll be wearing on Christmas day! Stay tuned because my girlfriend Stella and myself will be cooking up some sweet treats for the end of year break up for our companies! You'll have step by step tutorials on everything that you'll need to make your Christmas an extra special one this year. We'll also show you suggestions on what to wear for Christmas - maybe it's the first time with the boyfriends family. Or you don't know what to get your "to-be parents in law". Have a lovely weekend everyone.

P.S has anyone noticed "hair chains" yet.. here it is on KK - Kim Kardashian. So important to attention to detail! I think it's gorgeous and different! With a slick back pony tail it looks so femine! Hopefully they become Available in Australia soon! and if anybody See's them.. let me know!!
I still cant get over the cut out dress! Defiantly going to be in season for a long time, all the different designs even in maxi dresses and formal wear now! If your not so daring, go for the netted look like KK has below over her arms and around her waist!

Summer Lovin'

I'm officially in love, how gorgeous are these Jets bathes by Jessika Allen!
As summer's approaching fast it's almost bikini time! Too bad Melbourne's weather is shocking at the moment! Havent even had one full day at the beach!
Speaking of summer and bikini's it usually means "toning up".
Has anyone tried Zumba? I downloaded the DVD's and couldn't get up the energy to try it!
So many of my friends are obsessed. And i think it's doing good for all of them!
My mum mentioned a few weeks ago that when she was sleeping she had a dream she was doing the Zumba, after she woke up she said she was so tired because she felt like she was working out all night she had to go back to sleep.
I thought me sitting in bed watching the Zumba DVD were bad!
Another point of summer is the "Hair-Free" time. It sucks now we can't hide our hairy legs to keep us warm under jeans, leggings, maxi dresses and long coats! Got to admit though I've been trying laser treatment and it's amazing!
Cant wait till all the sessions are over and i never have to wax again! Suggestion though - i wouldn't start Laser until winter as your skin needs to be as light as possible and any tan or colour means that they have to use a lower "voltage" which means more sessions.
I defiantly suggest it if you have the money put it aside! It's well worth it. I go to Body Glow locally in Waintrna, near Knox shopping centre. The owner there is Bek, shes such a sweetheart. Very passionate about her job and the most amazing results!
Here is body glow's website - http://www.bodyglow.com.au/
I also recommend checking out CUDO, SCOOPON, JUMPONIT and OUFFER sites.
They offer beauty facials, massages, laser treatments and hair extentions at a discounted rate. I recently went for a 2 hour pampering session of a full body massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, eye brow wax and upper body exfoliation for $60! You cant go wrong and there great for gifts! Especially with Christmas fast approaching check out all the awesome deals for all your friends and family.

Part One - About Me

"Even the most beautiful views can get foggy sometimes" - John William
& Joseph McNally

Why is my blog is called cookies & couture?
I have a massive passion from everything from cooking to high-end designer clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. Not only that but those little boutiques that have one offs or the chain store basics! My plan is to compile great finds and post them on my blog! To try great recipes and give step by step photos and tips on how to make bits & pieces!
I thought why not share my passions. Everyone seems to be doing it these days!

So not many girls my age would have any idea on how to bake a cake or cookies - most of my friends would attempt a stunt on masterchef if they didn't burn there toast this morning.
So i guess this is my way of trying to motivate anyone in every aspect of life. I know that it's cliche but why not try something new?

Where do i start?

My names Emily - It comes from the Latin Term meaning Admiring and from the French term as Feminine Form. I wish it was spelt Emilie instead, but apparently mum didn't want me to spell my name for the rest of my life.

Originally my mum is from the Seychelles - If you don't know what that is see here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seychelles i think its one of the most beautiful countrys in the world. And my dad is Australian.

I just turned 22 and i live in Melbourne. I work for my dads company, and starting in recruitment next year.
I have an amazing boyfriend, a precious little Pomeranian called "sweetie" and my beautiful god daughter called Deana.. oh and my family would honestly give the Osbourne's a run for there money.

I try to stay focused on helping the world around me, giving to the less fortunate is so important. My family and i sponsor children in Senegal and give to other charities often, that's what i feel passionate about.

One of my favorite blogs are by Emily's. Apparently it's a very creative name?

This is Emily Everywhere -
Her blog mainly revolves around her amazing marriage and her trial and error into trying to have a baby. I think its gorgeous for her to open up her whole private life and be so honest about the hardship. Read it here -

My main motivation for my blog was this gorgeous blog by another Emily called
Cupcakes & Cashmere - although she's based in America i love the way her blog is set out and how she expresses everything she See's. Some of the images are amazing, and her sense of style I'm envious of! This is where i want to go with my blog but with all Australian labels as well. Check out Emily's blog here -

I welcome questions, on anything directly to myself for the blog for advice from my readers.
